The launching ceremony for the Christian Council for Coordination took place in Bkerke on December 17, 2024. The event was attended by His Beatitude Patriarch Rai, members of the Council, and over 70 guests from various fields, including business, medicine, academia, NGOs, media, and the Church.

“Proximity Policy to Create Hope”

As the current statu quo is detrimental to the Christian presence in Lebanon due to the current security and economic situation, the Christian Council for Coordination ( 3C ) was established with the blessing of His Beatitude the Patriarch Rai. Its prime objective is to infuse hope in the Lebanese Christian community by initiating projects that will encourage them to anchor themselves in Lebanon and to continue to have their positive role and equal say in the future of the country.
There is no doubt - and the figures are there to prove it - that the Lebanese Christians still have key levers : geographic, economic, social and cultural to help safeguard and perpetuate the Christian role in Lebanon in complete freedom, equality and dignity thus celebrating Lebanon's role as a message and as a strong  presence in the Region. It is through social and economic initiatives that 3C will rebuild the Christian confidence and rekindle their dreams and their faith in a bright future in and for Lebanon.
The 3C key focus in all the endeavors we enter is job creations. We act with agility and efficiency to develop and deploy innovative and sustainable solutions tailor made to the needs of every community we serve. 3C intends to work with all communities alongside subject matter experts to overcome the shortfall of the central political system while addressing the socio-economic and security issues which are the root cause of immigration. We call these "proximity initiatives" as we shall respond to issues that concern these communities the most and are closest to their heart.
We want to help the Christians alongside the other communities that partner in Lebanon to transcend the constant anxiety of the future that is common to all, into a ray of hope and a belief into a Lebanon that we all dream of. In this way, we all together protect Lebanon's diversity and its message that is unique to Lebanon.
By coordinating our efforts with all the Christian communities and by reaching out to other communities, 3C can deploy fast using the collective learning of all to optimize the outcome. The transformational initiatives that are identified by the people, for the needs of people and executed with the people of the region also carry a greater chance of success. Hence, this approach gives 3C the confidence that it shall prevail.
